My Children
Melissa Allor
- My children have wavy brown hair and thoughtful, fierce brown eyes.
- They have a shyness about them that makes them seem aloof, but they are not stuck up.
- Strong and innocent enough to not be fearful, my children are intelligent, but not arrogant.
- They carry themselves with poise, and surround themselves with laughter.
- My children learn to appreciate their mother even with her helicopter parenting, and unfortunate anxiety that stems from a hard lived, hard won life.
- They know her courage.
- They are strong and defiant and stand up for what they believe in.
- They do not lead, but are the defenders of those less fortunate.
- They are loyal.
- They are quiet, and know the value of listening.
- Rather than run the show, my children stay behind the scenes, carrying the show forward.
- Humble and patient, my children love their family and pets.
- My children are ambitious, but they know when reaching the top is too great of a sacrifice.
- They know when to stop winning.
- They know that losing creates greater character.
- My children appreciate travel and growth.
- My children experience heartache and love.
- My children will breath in the ocean air, but fall in love with the forest breeze.
- Deeply hidden in the recesses of my mind, far from prying eyes and ears my children are protected.
- My children are a secret to the world, but not to their mother.
- My children live in safety protected in my mind, and not my womb.
- My children will never be born.
- My children carry themselves inside their mother, guiding her choices.
- My children love their cousins and watch them grow through their mother’s eyes.
- My children know the value of their Aunt, who passed to soon.
- My children soften my heart, even as the outside hardens unable to hold them close.
